Hello! I’m Yvonne

Your Personal Mental Massager

I believe everyone has a special gift, something they are very good at, or better than average. Throughout the years, through feedback from others, I realized that my unique gift is that I am sensitive, perceptive and intuitive. I am an Empath and people are drawn to that. Strangers and friends tell me things they haven’t told anyone. Sometimes I hear things in the first few minutes of meeting someone that others might never hear. I believe this is because I am open, nonjudgmental, warm, curious and attuned to others in a way that puts them at ease and helps organic conversation to flow.

I realized I use this gift in my everyday interactions, and it is one of my greatest assets. It allows me to hear what others are really trying to convey beyond their words, gestures and behavior. I truly care about others and am curious about what they have to say, what their backgrounds are and what their experiences and opinions are. These abilities make my interactions beneficial for others, and very fulfilling and enjoyable for myself.

There is a true need for people to talk to someone, to feel heard. But there is also the need to listen to others too. I have experienced both needs myself. Being a good communicator, problem-solver and listener doesn’t have to be rocket science or take years in college to “qualify” for. Some people have an inherent skill when it comes to these qualities, from birth. I believe I am one of these people.

That said, I am not a therapist, and cannot ‘fix’ you or give you advice. What I can do is through clever questioning help you to discover ways to navigate your life. I can listen to you and guide the conversation to help you to “massage” whatever it is that is on your mind.

One can talk to a Licensed Professional Counselor or Therapist, Medical Doctor, PhD, Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Psychologist, Board/Professional Certified Life Coach, Pastoral Counselor, Mentor, Psychic or Astrologer, and the list goes on…

Those titles are worth their weight, no doubt, but sometimes we just need a quick listening ear or someone to bounce thoughts off. Just because we need to talk, doesn’t mean we need a therapist. We might not have the time, money, or need for a lengthy visit with a licensed professional. Sometimes a 20-minute chat about a bad day, venting about work stress, or how to make amends with a friend is all that is needed to gain clarity or get a moment of connection to make a difference in our day.
